Is our problem hopeless? Are we doomed to live the rest of our lives never feeling like things are going to be right? Jesus didn’t think so. |

Jesus wasn’t just a teacher. Jesus said that He and God were one, that if you’ve seen Jesus, then you’ve seen God. The Bible also says that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, that Jesus is the exact representation of God’s nature. Jesus claims to be equal with God. Actually, Jesus claims to be God, who took on human flesh for a time in order to bring the Kingdom of God to us. |

If that’s true, then Jesus is perfect, and His kingdom is perfect. His kingdom is where everything “right” exists—the place that we all feel must exist; the place we all want to be. |

But someone has to take care of our problem with sin—the thing that separates us from God and His Kingdom. That’s what the cross is all about. Jesus, the one and only sinless human, died on the cross to pay the penalty for all our sin. He paid the price that we deserved—death (which is eternal separation from God’s Kingdom). He died so that we could enter the Kingdom of God, even though we’ve sinned. |
