What the Bible says:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

 (John, chapter 3, verse 16)

What the Bible Says:

“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son (Jesus) and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise Him up on the last day.”

(John, chapter 6, verse 40)

If Jesus died on the cross so that we could enter the Kingdom of God, how do we get there? How do we get to the place where everything is “right”—the place we all want to be?

Jesus said that if we put our trust in Him and what he did on the cross, we will have eternal life in His Kingdom. This means that if you believe that He is God Himself who took on human flesh, that if you believe that He took on Himself the penalty that you deserve for your sin when He died on the cross, and that if you believe that three days later, that He rose from the dead, then you will enter the Kingdom of God.

We cannot enter the Kingdom of God by trying to be really good people. We can never be good enough. We always have a problem with sin, and sin always separates us from God. The only way left for us to enter God’s Kingdom is if He takes care of our sin problem for us.

Jesus says that if you trust that He takes care of our sin problem, really trust this with your entire life, then He provides your entrance into His Kingdom as a free gift—free entrance into the place where everything is “right”!
